What I learned…
I do NOT know anything about rugby! I know it sounds weird and I have heard this sport a lot of times, but I never knew how to play or the rules. I learned that inrugby, there are 15 players on each team and they play on a field called a pitch which is 100m long and 69m wide. The ball makes it down the field by carrying and kicking the ball. When someone from the other team tackles the person carrying the ball, they have to places the ball on the ground and is fought over by each team, this is called a ruck. A ruck is where two or more players come together, and they grab their heads and arms and try to push the opposing team over the ball, so that their team can gain possession of the ball. When a scrum happens, a small infringement or stoppage of the game happens, restarting of play is done. Now, eight players on each side bind together in three rows. The first rows on each side lock heads and then the scrum half throws the ball into the tunnel (the space between each sideA’s scrum). If there is a severe infringement, then a penalty is awarded. Once the ball has made it to one end of the field, the team can scare a Tri. When you need to score a Tri, the ball must be touched to the ground in the Tri zone. After a Tri has been awarded, you can gain more points by a conversion kick. A Tri is worth five points, and a conversion is worth two points. At this website you can find all the information that I found. I am so glad we did this post so I can learn something new. I would have never done this on my own time.
